Mike Behuniak is First Senior Vice President at Merchant.

He began his career at First American Bankshares in Washington DC, spending six years at the company and rising to the title of AVP. He then worked at Commercial Bank of New York, ascending over the course of five years to First Vice President–Team Leader. At GE Capital, Mike was Vice President and Assistant Portfolio Manager for three years, then worked at HSBC before he joined Merchant.

Mike is a member of New York credit organizations including CFA, TMA, and the Contemporary Credit Club. He attended the Maxwell School of Syracuse University, where he graduated with his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. Mike lives in Manhattan and is an active member of the New York Road Runners (NYRRC)—he’s run fourteen marathons, including NY, Chicago, Twin Cities, Boston, and Hood to Coast.
